Round (or oval) Plarn Rugs

Rugs do take a while to make. This oval rug is a w.i.p.
Ch 30. Work 3 sc in second ch from hook. Work 1 sc in next 27 chains. Work 3 sc in last ch. Work 1 sc in other side of next 27 st.
Work 2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st. You have just increased 3 st evenly on this end.
Continue working around the rug, increasing evenly on both ends, so the rug lies flat, and working even on both sides until the rug is the desired size. Starting with 30 ch makes a rug about 7 inches longer than it is wide.
For a round rug, ch 2. Work 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2. Work 2 sc in each st around.
Round 3. Work 1 sc in next st, work 2 sc in next st. Repeat around.
Continue working around the rug, increasing evenly around so the rug lies flat until it is the desired size.
