My girls tell me that I must never go into a plant nursery or book store alone. I can't seem to say no to plants or books. I expect they're about to tell me that I mustn't go into Hobby Lobby with just my mom. I have trouble saying no to patterns and yarn/thread.
Well, ok, but it was a free pattern hanging by the yarn! And yes, the yarn companies are just trying to sell more yarn, but it's another unusual shaped baby blanket!!
And, as I've said before, patterns are just suggestions. You'd think that after 2 afghans made of left over yarn, I'd be out of left over yarn. No, I still have boxes and bags of it. So, shades of blues and whites. This will be my 5th afghan. The piece of green yarn marks the beginning of a new round. It's easy to remove when I finish the afghan.
Also made of left over yarn.
There's one more, but it's knitted, red, white, and blue. Eventually, I want 12 afghans, 1 for each month.
This is my 12th doily of this pattern. I found the thread during the trip to Hobby Lobby when I also found the pattern.
I think they look elegant. White for January, red for February, green for March, multi-pastels for April, pink (in progress) for May, blue for June, red-white-blue for July, yellow for August, multi-rainbow for September, orange for October, brown for November, red-green-white for December.
