Granny Square Afghan Progress

Enough squares are crocheted together that when the finished part is folded, the afghan only takes up half of my living room floor.
Using safety pins, the rest of the squares are pinned together well enough that I can move the afghan without losing the placement that took days to decide.
Here you can see that all 4 corner blocks are the same, green middles with white around. The green is used for the edgings. This unifies the afghan so that what was a confused mess of colors becomes a pleasing whole.
This is a vest I made for my daughter in the mid 90's. She says she was sad when she out grew it. Not really granny squares, but it gives you another idea of what can be done with squares. Notice the half squares at the neckline. The squares are joined using back loops only.
These novelty buttons are cute, but they're a pain to button. button holes are worked in the edging.
