Plarn Colors

I used only white strips for this hat. Where did I find white bags? I didn't. I just used strips that did not have printing on them.

2 colors printed on this bag.
When it's cut, you can see the uneven distribution of colors. 2 white, 3 or 4 with blue on them and 5 or 6 with only black on them. It's the same number of strips, but by dividing them according to colors, it'll take a lot more bags to finish a project.

When Mom gets bags, she cuts them up and puts the strips into bags until she needs them.

I'm o c d and can't do that! As I cut a bag, I lay the strips back in order (just like in the picture). Then, I loop them together, in order. I'll have to have 3 balls beside me to loop these strips together, which is fine, since I'm making strips of these 3 colors for my woven plarn rug. I like to have the color spots evenly distributed through the project. I think that just pulling strips randomly from a bag sometimes would cause uneven spots of color.
The bag at the top of the picture uses all the strips: white, black on white, and blue and black on white. The blue strip of the rug used only strips with blue on them.
The red stripe in this rug used only the strips with red printed from the bags.
This shoulder bag is made of target bags. Very little white left unprinted in those bags.
The brown bags used for this grocery bag actually came from different stores. By keeping the bags from different stores separate, I got a nice striped effect.
I have lots of these grey bags, so I can make lots of projects from them. It's more a lack of time problem.
I've been working on this bag quite a while, mostly waiting for more yellow bags.
I've been waiting on these multi colored bags, also.
